Affiliated Sites
Ditech offers services in connection with other web sites or third parties. An example is our link to Google Mail and Google Calendar. Customer Proprietary Network Information ("CPNI")
In the normal course of providing telecommunications and interconnected voice-over-Internet-protocol (“interconnected VoIP”) services to its users and customers, Ditech collects and maintains certain customer proprietary network information (“CPNI”). Your CPNI includes the types of telecommunications and interconnected VoIP services you currently purchase or subscribe to, how you use those services (for example, your calling records), and billing information related to those services. Your Ditech telephone number, name, and address do not constitute CPNI.
Ditech does not sell, trade, or otherwise share your CPNI with anyone outside of Ditech or with anyone who is not authorized to represent us to offer our services or to perform functions on our behalf except as the law may require or you may authorize.
Federal law generally permits us to use CPNI in our provision of telecommunications and interconnected VoIP services you purchase or subscribe to, including billing and collections for those services. We are permitted to use or disclose CPNI to offer communications services of the same type that you already purchase from us. We may also use or disclose your CPNI for legal or regulatory reasons such as to respond to a court order, to investigate fraud, to protect our rights or property, to protect against the unlawful use of our services, or to protect other users.
If you choose to restrict access to your CPNI for our own marketing purposes, please contact us. By restricting our use of your CPNI, you will not affect our provision of any service, nor will you necessarily eliminate all types of Ditech marketing.

In addition, we may use third parties to host certain portions of our Site and to fulfill certain requests for information from our users. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes and the information obtained from these third party sources is maintained in a manner consistent with this Policy.

It may also be disclosed in the unlikely event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which personally identifiable information would be transferred as one of the business assets of Ditech.
Information security
We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.
We restrict access to your personally identifiable information and CPNI to those employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations. And we use an SSL connection to enable you to view, enter, and change the information in the “Preferences” section securely on our Web site.
You can take additional steps on your own to safeguard your personally identifiable information. For example, you should be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer. And you should always log out of any Web site, including the Ditech Web site, after viewing personal account information, such as the “Preferences” section of our Web site.
Please be advised that Ditech has no control over the security of other sites on the Internet you might visit, interact with, or from which you might buy products or services.
Data integrity
Ditech processes personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this Privacy Policy or any applicable service-specific privacy notice. We review our data collection, storage and processing practices to ensure that we only collect, store and process the personal information needed to provide or improve our services. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we process is accurate, complete, and current, but we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary.
Personal information changes
When you use Ditech Services, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access to your personal information and either to correct this data if it is inaccurate or to delete such data at your request if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes. We ask individual users to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed, corrected or removed before processing such requests, and we may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup tapes), or for which access is not otherwise required. In any case where we provide information access and correction, we perform this service free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort.
